Hey there everybody! Well...I am the first to
admit that I am the rookie on the staff! Everyday brings me a new
experience and I just hope that I don't mess it up!
One of the first things that I did when I walked on the then Moorhead
State University campus...a hundred years ago...was go to the radio
station. However I was also involved in the theatre (my very first love)
and radio soon became pushed to the back burner...and forgotten.
When Zach Swanson asked me to do color for Roseau Rams volleyball this
past season, I realized how much I still enjoyed being on air...and I
thank Joe everyday for letting me be a "Rock Star" on WiLD 102.
Favorite Song? Although I have my "Fav of the Week" when it comes
to music...my all time favorite would be Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul
McCartney and the Wings - I have it on vinyl...in the original sleeve
from Capital Records
Favorite Movie? The Breakfast Club...I can watch it any time!!
John Hughes was a genius!!
Favorite Book? Love That Dog by Sharon Creech...I highly
recommend it...quick read that will help you smile when you need it.

Most Memorable Radio Moment? The first time I heard Only the
Lonely by The Motels.
What is your favorite quote? I am only as strong as my coffee, my
friends and my hairspray.
What's the best concert you have ever been to? Fleetwood Mac...So
Good!!!

really have much free time...I coach speech at Warroad High School and

Where to
start, where to start? Well, I was born and raised in the Twin
Cities, south suburbs to be exact. After high school, I attended
South Dakota State University in Brookings, and couldn’t really find my
place. After returning home, I found that radio was my calling!
I attended Brown College and while attending class I covered sports
online with the Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network. I loved every
second and am excited to bring you the best Rams sports coverage!
While going to school, and even before, I’ve been a HUGE
sports and music fan! I’m all-local…my favorite sports teams are
the Gophers, Twins, Wild, Timberwolves (sometimes), Saints, etc.
Most of my favorite music is local as well, not to mention anything else
someone might give me to listen to.
Radio to me is insanely exciting! There are so many
things to get involved with, people to meet, games to see, music to
listen to, radio is where the excitement is! I was first bit by
the radio bug in South Dakota. I had a morning show on the campus
radio station and had a blast with it. Now, whenever I cover a
sports game, I get the same energy and excitement I do from music!
It’s a win, win!
I’m excited to get to know all of you, and see some great
things from the Rams in the coming months!
Favorite Song? –
That’s a hard one…I listen to SO much music, it’s hard to just pick one.
Favorite Movie? –
Almost Famous.
Favorite Book?
–
Any athlete biography, or anything by the Dalai Lama.
Favorite Color? –
Blue, or black.
Most Memorable Radio Moment?
– Having the opportunity to cover the Minnesota State High School
Tournaments.
What is your favorite quote?
– "What are dreams for anyway, without the guts to live
your life that way? What are songs for, anyway, without the guts
to live your life that way?"
What's the best concert you have ever
been to? –
311 Day in New Orleans! 311
puts on a five hour marathon show every other year in New Orleans on
March 11 (hence the title of the day, 311 Day). I was fortunate
enough to go with some close friends in 2008, and had the greatest time
of my life!
What do you do in your free time?
– Lets see…music, live shows, fishing, golf, hockey,
baseball/softball, hanging out with friends, reading, movies…the list is
really endless.
What is the best part of your job?
– Being able to be in a great sports town and be on the front lines
with the teams, parents, players and coaches. Also, radio is such
an incredible way to be involved in the community, no matter how big or
small.
Words of wisdom for the kids?
– Treat others as you would like to be treated, stay
positive and love your life, and never be afraid to try something new.

Hello! Well, after about a decade in the
business, doing on air, programming and everything else, I'm glad to be
live and local on WiLD 102! The thing I love most about my job is
impacting the community in a positive way, so if you've got an event,
see news happening, or just want to hear a song to make your day better,
give me a call or an email.
Another thing I love about
working at WiLD 102 is getting people's comments and music requests! We
all love that moment where we hear a great song or a forgotten favorite,
and it's great to share that with the listeners. I love the oldies too,
so make sure and check out our Retro Wednesday. It's always a blast!
Favorite Song? Currently,
it would have to be "Say Hey (I Love You)" by Michael Franti &
Spearhead. As for a classic "Bodhisattva" by Steely Dan is an excellent
track.
Favorite Movie? - Ferris
Bueller's Day Off - classic.
Favorite TV Show - for
drama, House with Hugh Laurie, one of my personal favorite actors.
Comedy would be "Better Off Ted", a witty look at the corporate world.
Favorite Book? "High
Fidelity" by Nick Hornby. A brilliant story of love and record
collecting.
Most Memorable Radio Moment?
Any time I get a call going "that song's AWESOME who sings it?" Very
rewarding.
What is your favorite quote?:
"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." - Arthur Carlson (WKRP
in Cincinnati)
What's the best concert you
have ever been to? Oasis in 2008 at MTS Centere in Winnipeg.
Thousands singing along to "Champagne Supernova" was awesome.
What do you do in your free
time? I enjoy all kinds of music, good food and movies.
What is the best part of your
job? Connecting people with the information they need and the music
they love.
What's your favorite food?
So hard to choose. Love good Italian anything. Pizza, pastas, it's all
good.
